This is lovely and totally spellbinding. It's fascinating that all the images are of classically beautiful women and I'm sure that were you to place the 'beauty grid' over their faces they would all match it perfectly... the distance between the eyes seemed to be identical in all. It would be very interesting to see a similar collection of less 'perfect' women. My mother-in-law is an artist and knows a few art historians - she has said that she will ask one of them if he can come up with images of women portrayed less romantically, more realistically, and images of women by other women. Now that would be interesting! In the meantime, I'll throw down a challenge and ask that readers send in images of other types of women - the hags for example! Thank you Anne, this is a fabulous posting.
Wonderful imagery. Beautiful and as said - mesmerising! It's amazing how many of the women look very similar and how many look soooo beguiling. As Laura has said - it would be very interesting to see more realistic representations. There were one or two in the ones shown - some looked pretty serious and some (on occasion) looked almost threatening.
